Ko Toa, Thailand.

Ive jumped to another island on the East Coast of Thailand, Ko Toa. This will be the last new island I hit before I head into Malaysia in 6 days. I going to go back to Ko Samoi probably for a day or so then go towards the main land again.

Before I left Ko Pha-Ngan and headed here I did find the Volleyball Playing Lady Boy on the beach. He was 10 feet tall and could clear the net in a single prance. No, Its funny, I dont know why but I just assumed he would have been in Drag when I went there. But he wasnt. He was in Boy Form, except for the spandex and matching lime green sweat bands he was wearing. He was, I dont know, 5'5" and could jump very high considering we were on sand. He was very flamboyant and loved to trash talk, but still was no match for some good ole' American know-how. I rocked him every time I played him except for one game. Definitely one of the best guys out there but still was by no means a Doug Jeffery.

After doing that, I hung out with the Two Aussie cops I met one last time and then said good bye to my home for the past 9 days and headed on.

Ko Toa, has been interesting. I bought the tickets here at a discount by trading in some books I read and then headed over with no accommodations planned. I just got on the boat, which they fill till they cant fill it anymore, and just came over. It seems like everyone went to Ko Pha-Ngan for the Full Moon Party and then everyone afterwards headed to Ko Toa which is half the size. So on the way over there was a rumor going around that you couldnt get a room here unless you were part of SCUBA Diving class, which is very big here. So . . . . . Doug is getting certified for his PADI Open Water Diving License. It wasnt that expensive about $270 which includes food, accommodations, and all the equipment you need for 4 days of diving, so I think I got a pretty good deal. And I think I can make up the money I'm spending in the rest of SE Asia later. My instructor is a pretty comical English guy who has been in Thailand for 3 and a half years and has done over 2,600 dives. I started with the video and book and all the rest yesterday. Today we started in the classroom again and then went out and did some exercises in a shallow area. We practiced how to clear your goggles, buddy breathe, indicate you're out of air and a whole bunch of other stuff. Then we headed down and did a 12 meter dive. It really has been awesome, Im extremely excited for tomorrow's dive too. The only draw backs have been the 18 inch lizard living in my bathroom and the fish love to eat the scabs on my leg from Motorbike accident. It's funny I have two other people in my class and guess where they use to live . . . . . in Courthouse in Arlington, Virginia. I have met maybe 10 Americans since Ive left the States and I have met two different groups of people from Arlington.

I didnt post any pictures because its hard to have a camera with all the water on the boat, but the guy I met from VA actually is a Photo editor for a San Francisco Newspaper and he is taking a ton of pictures which he has promised to email me. So they will be out there soon.

Also, i just discovered where the spell check is on the site, so hopefully that should get better.
