Freo VIII

Just a general update. Things are starting to get colder here.

It gets pretty warm during the day still but it isnt as hot as it once was. The raining season is going to begin soon. As a result, most of the vacationers are heading north with the warm weather. They are taking their sun screen and fat wallets with them which means less work where Im at. Most of the backpackers have headed north with them after work, but I am content just sitting here.

Which means I am once again looking for a second job. McDonalds called me about trying to transfer to another store, but I told them to shove off. With only 3 shifts behind me, I kneo enough to know McDonalds isnt for me. Ill chalk it up to artistic differences. The management at the last store I worked out was mostly homosexual, nothing wrong with that. But I swear to god if I had to hear Aqua's "Dr.Jones" one more time I would have shoved someone into the month old frie oil. No man should have to work under those conditions.

Or maybe it was the idea that I had to kowtow to a manager 5 years younger who was always reminding you of things that no person needed reminding of.

"Doug, you gave this woman a large coffee when she requested a standard"
"OK, my bad."
"Its not a problem; I fixed it. But just so you know Standard means Medium; not Large."

But more importantly, it was that they never figured out my name and then always treated me like I was the one miss pronouncing my own name.

"Hello?"
"Hi, This is Doug. Im calling about the interview."
"Oh, right Jeffery James."
"Actually its Doug."
"OK, Jeff see you on Tuesday."

The Sailing Club is still my main source of income at the moment. Ive been working about 25-30 hours a week but Im trying to get closer to the 50 mark.

Yesterday and today, I did another resume sweep. Im looking for a barista job maybe or just something different and a bit edgier. I signed up with a temporary agency. And they were saying that they may get some grape pruning work soon. That would be pretty cool, so maybe thatll pan out.

But we shall see. Its just a waiting game at this point.

Sunset at the Sailing Club. The change in seasons has been making some amazing sunsets recently.
