Freo VII

Well it happened! Working at a sailing club finally paid off. My buddy and I were invited onto a boat the other weekend by one of the members. I was invited out once before but couldnt go. I had to work so I jumped at the second chance to go out.

The owner, pictured above and below, is a pretty cool guy. He's in his early forties and lives on his boat fulltime. He use to work as a city planner but as he says 'cant be stuffed' anymore to work, so he sails.

He invited myself and my friend to go out on a Sunday, sleep on his boat, and then return the next day in time for me to slip into the club for work. This was more of a challenge then you wouldve expected. Employees are forbidden to go out on the boats with the members. But I figured what the hell the worst that could happen is I lose my job and then go out on the boat anyway. The chance to sail was somthing I couldnt pass up.

I had bought a bottle of port when I went on a wine tour around here and what better place to drink Port then in the bottom of a boat. It was a big success. The trip was great and I am talking with him about doing it again soon.

Boat: Tran Quility (about 26', two masts)

The Professor and Giligan

Me being helpful.

My favorite shot. Love the hat.

Our Destination. Notice the Crystal Blue Water of Rottnest.

A Different Day: A Bike Trip. A cool rusted out Power Station that we found right next to the beach.

Me tagging. Not really.

also, that last picture...you look like that rediculous australian kid from a year or so back who had the huge party and had a tv interview with his shirt off and sunglasses on.

I completely agree with that comment. Also, I kinda feel like I should throw a bagel at you.
