Return

I just bought my ticket home. I will be back in DC on the 19th of November.

That leaves me working here in Freo for 3 more months to save money for the rest of the trip.

After that, Ill then have 10 more weeks in Australia. In that time, I hope to complete the rest of my loop around Australia (from Perth to Broome to Darwin to Cairnes and then back to Sydney).

From there, I will hop on a plane to Auckland and have 6 weeks tooling around New Zealand.

By then it will be mid November, and on the 2nd, I start my trip home with a week in Honolulu, 3 days in Seattle, and a week in Portland putting my back on my couch on the 19th.

Its funny. I feel like my trip is ending so quickly but at the same time I am still trying to wrap my head around not seeing my family and friends for another 8 months.

My work visa in Australia is good through December of 09', but I couldnt bring myself to miss another Thanksgiving or Christmas. I dont know; some things you just shouldnt miss and cant ever replicate.

When you get to Seattle, go to Elliot's to eat. It's on the Pier. They have $0.50 oysters for Happy Hour, the Pacific salmon is the best, and make sure you get the Madagascar ice cream for dessert.

Also, make sure you go to the fish market and have the guys toss you a big a$$ fish across the store. Never done it...but I've seen it on TV.

Looks cool, if you don't mind smelling like salmon for the rest of the day.
